Stargazing Experience

Stargazing Europe’s darkest skies at Glenapp Castle

Galloway Forest Park in Scotland is home to one of the UK’s Dark Sky Parks due to the lack of light pollution resulting in amazing clear night skies. Guests at Glenapp Castle are fortunate and can experience the same expansive skies from the comfort of the Glenapp gardens. Come and experience the wonders of the night sky with a very special stargazing offer. On clear nights you could view the Milky Way stretching from one horizon to the other. You might even be lucky enough to spot the mesmerising display of the Northern Lights!

Your star gazing experience is personal and often guests like to have the first two of their dinner courses in the Castle dining rooms or the Azalea Restaurant and then head off towards the Dark Skies with your private ranger,  where you can enjoy a special Glenapp ‘tiddly’ hot chocolate,  cosy blankets,  night binoculars and hand warmers. Then return to the Castle for your desert and perhaps a nightcap with your coffee in front of the roaring open fire.

Included in your two-night stay will be:

  • Luxury accommodation in one of luxurious Castle bedroom suites
  • Three-course dinner each evening in the Castle dining room
  • The famous traditional Glenapp table served breakfast
  • Stargazing experience on one evening in the Glenapp gardens with an expert Dark Sky Ranger
  • ‘Tiddly’ hot chocolate
  • Cosy blankets
  • Night binoculars
  • Hand warmers
  • Complimentary WiFi

Priced from £299 per person per night
