Whisky Tasting at Glenapp
Join our knowledgeable Glenapp Whisky connoisseurs for a wonderful taste of Scotland. The Glenapp team will create a bespoke interactive whisky tasting experience and you can sample an array of different and unique whisky styles from the Scottish lowlands, to the highlands and islands of this beautiful country. Our Glenapp tasting experts will showcase three marvellous single malts.

The Whisky Experience at Glenapp Castle
For many of our Guests a visit to Scotland would not be complete without sampling the national spirit and learning more about how the unique tastes of the different distilleries are created. Get a real taste for Scotch Whisky and its fascinating heritage with our experts from the "Whisky Experience". They will create bespoke demonstrations, including tastings and food pairing while conveying the history and process of making some of the most famous whisky in the world, a perfect way to while away the evening all in the comfort of Glenapp Castle.

The Bladnoch Private Tour
Embark on an immersive journey through the storied legacy of Bladnoch Distillery. Led by knowledgeable guides, these tours offer a glimpse into the heart of the 207-year-old distillery, unveiling its time-honoured traditions and craftsmanship. Delight in an exploration of their production process, culminating in a refined whisky tasting of our signature expressions. Discover the essence of Bladnoch through this timeless experience, where history and flavour converge in every sip. This experience includes an in-depth whisky tasting, a complimentary crystal Glencairn tasting glass for each guest, an optional walk down the lade (not open to public tours) and a delectable lunch, featuring a charcuterie board crafted with locally sourced cheeses, meats, and artisanal breads.

The Glenapp Private 1817 Tour & Tasting
Embark on the 1817 Tour and Tasting at Bladnoch Distillery for an immersive journey through time and craftsmanship. This unique experience offers a hands-on and scientific exploration of our distillation process. Led by their expert guides, guests delve into the intricacies of malted barley analysis, wash, and spirit production, using the very tools employed by the skilled team. Elevate your understanding of whisky production with an in-depth tasting of four exquisite Bladnoch expressions, culminating in a sensorial journey that captures the essence of our storied 207-year-old distillery. This experience includes an in-depth whisky tasting, a complimentary crystal Glencairn tasting glass for each guest, an optional walk down the lade and an insight into the cask-filling warehouse (not open to public tours) and a delectable lunch, featuring a charcuterie board crafted with locally sourced cheeses, meats, and artisanal breads.

The Connoisseurs Experience
This is the ultimate Bladnoch experience, join Bladnoch’s Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage for an incredibly rare master class and exquisite paired Whisky lunch. Guests will have the opportunity to dive in and learn the ins and outs of the whisky making process and explore some otherwise unseen parts of the 203-year-old distillery. Dr Nick Savage joined as Bladnochs Master Distiller in 2019, hailing from the Macallan. He spent four years in Australia completing his PhD and he has a deep connection to Bladnoch with both Scottish and Australian roots. This experience is perfect for the real Whisky enthusiasts as Dr Nick Savage will discuss with you how to successfully pair your expressions with food and how each expression is developed. The experience will end with a delicious four course meal in the Private Dining room hosted by Dr Savage with a bespoke menu design and rare Whisky pairing. Each guest before departure will be given a gift bag to take away as a wonderful momentum of their time at Bladnoch.

An Evening with Bladnoch
If you are unable to come to Bladnoch, then Bladnoch will come to you. One of the very experienced distillery team will come to the Castle and give you a virtual show round of the distillery on the projector and screen within our picturesque library. From the virtual show round, you will get a sense of the rich history of the distillery whilst also being shown where and how each expression is made. Guests will then taste and be talked through four Bladnoch expressions, with a crystal Glencairn tasting glass as a souvenir.

Crafty Distillery Gin Private Experience
Join one of the Crafty team from ‘Scotland’s Gin Destination of the Year’ for a truly exclusive experience here at Glenapp Castle. They will share the story of how their exciting Galloway based distillery was created from scratch to become one of the world’s most innovative craft distilleries. You'll get to learn the secrets of how they created both their multi-award-winning Hills & Harbour Gin and their Smokey & Citrus Distilled Cocktail - a world first. During the experience they'll also be serving up perfect serves of their tasty spirits and shaking up unique cocktails for you to savour.
