Glenapp’s Private Coos & Ewes
Kitchen Coos & Ewes offer a variety of wonderful highland cow experiences on their local farm, which can all be arranged directly by our Reception Team – you can read about these here.
Additionally, exclusive to guests of Glenapp Castle only, we are proud to invite you to experience ‘Glenapp's Private Coos & Ewes’. This is a completely private experience, so you can enjoy these gorgeous ‘coos’ all to yourself! You will get up close to the animals and truly get to know them – they all have their own names, very distinct personalities and importantly a cow social hierarchy! If you’re lucky, you may even be greeted by one of the ‘moodel’ cows, featured multiple times on the cover of Vogue. Logistically, these tours are designed to help you get close to the Highland cattle from the safety and comfort of a purpose-built trailer, with the chance to stop to brush, pet and even cuddle them too! It’s a farmer-led Highland cow safari, but with no need for wellies!
During this private tour you will also enjoy meeting the farmers who take care of these iconic animals on a daily basis - their genuine passion and love for their herd is very clear for all to see. To finish this heartwarming experience, you will enjoy Janet’s home made traybakes with teas and coffee, freshly prepared in the farmhouse kitchen. And as a keepsake, you will take home a fun goody bag, packed with cherished highland coo merchandise to look back on this special day fondly…
Transport to and from Kitchen Coos & Ewes couldn’t be easier, with our team of chauffeurs on hand to help - pricing available upon request.
