Make this Christmas truly memorable with a three-night stay including a host of unique experiences and activities. Falconry displays, stargazing, archery, fine dining, new friends, open fires, whiskies and Santa Claus – this is the place to be this Christmas!
The Itinerary
Christmas Eve (Day 1)
Arrive in time for afternoon tea and enjoy listening to the Glenapp pianist in the drawing room baby grand piano. Get settled in, relax by the roaring fire or enjoy exploring the Glenapp Gardens including the unique Italian Garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll.
A leisurely six-course gourmet dinner is served, and afterwards perhaps a nightcap in the library before the Glenapp piper sends you off to bed in true Scottish style. Transport to the Watchnight service at Ballantrae Parish Church is also available.
Christmas Day (Day 2)
Merry Christmas! Santa always finds his way to Glenapp and presents will await you. Enjoy a full Scottish Christmas breakfast, visit the local Ballantrae church for the Christmas service, or relax around the Christmas tree with family and friends and enjoy your Christmas gifts. Keep an eye open for Santa, he often hangs around at Glenapp for our famous home-made mince pies!
Mid morning there will be a falconry display with beautiful birds of prey swooping on to your leather glove.
Champagne reception prior to a fabulous festive four-course Christmas lunch. Our Head Chef and his team are proud to source the very best of local produce both for its freshness and excellent Ayrshire quality.
After lunch, experience the endless possibilities for walks on the coast, in the Glen and throughout the Estate.
An evening buffet and our Scottish ceilidh band in the drawing room will keep everyone entertained from the young to the not so young! Night-caps will be served before bedtime.
Boxing Day (Day 3)
A traditional Scottish breakfast awaits and morning of activities for you to chose from; clay pigeon shooting, archery and treasure hunts are all available on a complimentary basis as part of the Christmas programme.
A light boxing day lunch will be served in the Castle and your afternoon is free to explore more of the Glenapp Estate or further afield.
The Glenapp Harpist will play whilst you enjoy a final three course gourmet dinner followed by coffee and petit fours in the lounge with new found friends.
27th December (Day 4)
A final great Glenapp Scottish breakfast before a final farewell … Haste Ye Back !
Rates
Our rates vary depending on which style of room or suite you would like to book. Each of our bedroom suites are individually and luxuriously styled with a unique combination of fabrics, furnishing, antiques and art. All our rooms are spacious, with most having fires and there are a variety of suites with magnificent views over woodland and the surrounding seas; a perfect retreat after outdoor adventures and exquisite dining experiences.
The following rates are per room, for the three Christmas night getaway detailed and include all activities and full-board of breakfast, lunch dinner.

Children
Children are most welcome at Glenapp. We have a few rooms with adjoining rooms with sofa beds and most of our rooms can accommodate extra beds. Children’s menus are available.
Children up to and 5 years or age are accommodated free of charge, and children from 5 – 15 years are charged at £125 per night on a full board basis, and children 16 years + are charged at half the above room rates.
All children charges are based on sharing a room with two adults.
